Hi Helen,
Thank you for an awesome and touching post. I look forward to reading more from you.
What's a good to describe the feeling of wishing he/her had certain gifts (e. g. talents, background, resources) and at the same time, feeling neutral or even joying over others' procession of such gifts? It's called 羡慕 "xian mu" in Chinese; and if I were to make it up, it'd be "joylous" in English.
Anyhow, I'm very "joylous" of what amazing family and parents you have. :)
